Marilyn provided English support at Lainston House Hotel for our non-English speaking staff. Marilyn was always professional when I dealt with her, bringing her wealth of teaching experience to the table. She took on board the brief and delivered exactly what was required, teaching the students basic English to be able to converse with guests, and providing a route for their development in English skills. She also developed our more confident non- English speakers, 'fine tuning' their skills to be more customer focused in the Hotel.

I had learnt French at school but hadn’t used it for 10 years and desperately needed to brush up my written and spoken French for work. Since starting lessons in 2007, my colleague and I now have the confidence not only to write all emails to our suppliers in French, but to pick up the phone and actually have a conversation in French, something which I never thought I would be able to do.
